Xavier School of Commerce (XSC), a budding institution under Xavier University, Bhubaneswar (XUB) was set up the year 2014. The school commitsto provide quality commerce educationin order to strengthen the educational infrastructure in the country. India today needs highly skilled and talented commerce graduates who can contribute to the growth of the economy. The economic growth of a region or a country is enabled by economists and accountants possessing advanced knowledge as well as the skills to evaluate and analyze the complexities of businesses and other financial institutions. A career in commerce demands both, knowledge of the business world as well as technical understanding and capabilities. With this objective in mind the school offers the two bachelor’s degree programs Bachelor of Commerce(B.Com) & Bachelor of Business Management(B.B.M).


The Commerce conference is a forum of communication for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers in the areas of accounting and finance. Through its broadly defined scope, we welcome research in areas such as accounting history, finance, financial reporting and communication methodologies, interdisciplinary perspectives on accounting, management control, and public sector financial management. The conference provides an outlet for high-quality, research on all aspects of accounting and finance. Purely theoretical research and in-depth literature reviews also are welcome.


Papers are invited for submission relating to all aspects of Commerce, both theoretical and empirical. The suggested subthemes include:

  • Only original and unpublished work should be submitted for consideration.
  • The authors are required to submit their abstract, which should clearly indicate the purpose of research, methodology, major implications and key references.
  • The abstract shall be approximately 500 words, in MS Word, and the text should follow Times New Roman with font size 12 with one-inch margin all rounds.
  • The full paper should not be more than 5000 words that include objectives, literature review, methodology, result and discussion, and conclusions. It is suggested that there should be a good mix of all the above sections within the word limit.
  • Names of authors, their addresses (postal and e-mail), and phone numbers should be given in the first page of the paper.
  • At least one of the authors, in case of co-authored papers must attend the conference to be considered for presentation and publication.


All participants are required to register for the conference (whether Presenting or not presenting). The registration cost includes local hospitality, food and conference kit. It does not include accommodation and travel expenses. The registration details are as follows:
